Call for opens and IBIS related patent disclosures: - Mike: Will fix minutes AR Review: - Lance check on China patent status for correlation methods - No progress - Pending in U.S. - Approved in China, but a fee payment remains to obtain certificate - Need to decide whether to give up the patent New items: Mike: Should the IOMeth patent be declared in all IBIS meetings? - Lance: It is an implementation patent, should not apply - The patent is co-owned - Bob: Another question is whether trademarks matter here Mike showed the Jan 2008 summit presentation by Lance: - Lance: The patent is not about the algorithms shown here - It is about a specific implementation - Slide 9 shows an implementation close to the patent - It is closer to a copyright Mike showed a presentation to be given by Lance in Asia: - This has an overview of different correlation proposals - Bob discussed the Huawei method shown on slide 10 - They have several FOMs - They have an internal tool - Lance: Nokia and ZTE have internal validation processes - Huawei may still have one Review of group meeting schedule: - Nov 13 and 20 conflict with summits and travel - Our next meeting will be Nov 27 Next meetings: - The next two meetings will be Nov 27 and Dec 13 - Meeting ended at 11:57 ET
